Twitter fixes bug in Account Activity API that delivered messages and tweets to wrong developers

Image
Twitter has announced that it has fixed a bug in its Account Activity API that could have delivered users’ data to the wrong registered developer. This API allows registered developers to build tools to better support businesses and their communications with customers on the platform. "If you interacted with an account or business on Twitter that relied on a developer using the AAAPI to provide their services, the bug may have caused some of these interactions to be unintentionally sent to another registered developer. In some cases this may have included certain Direct Messages or protected Tweets, for example a Direct Message with an airline that had authorized an AAAPI developer. Similarly, if your business authorized a developer using the AAAPI to access your account, the bug may have impacted your activity data in error," Twitter said in a blog post. The microblogging platform says that as part of its ongoing investigation, it has already sent an email to all developers...

Fornite Battle Royale Season 6 update coming on September 27

Image
Fortnite Battle Royale is set to get its next big update in the form of Season 6. The new update will be available to all players from September 27 onwards. The developers of the game, Epic Games, have been teasing what the new update will bring in terms of gameplay. The most prominent of these teasers has been ‘Kevin the Cube’ which randomly appeared in the map game. The giant purple cube initially appeared to move randomly around the map, as if following a path, all the while burning runes in the ground. Players standing near the cube noticed runes hovering above them, and they started to glow. Those who managed to jump on the cube would be bounced way up into the air, while those who struck it where struck back. ‘Kevin’ finally made its way to Loot Lake where it melted and turned the entire lake purple and bouncy. How does this play into Fortnite Season 6? We’ll have to wait till September 27 to find out for sure. However, Epic Games has announced that there is one gamepla...

Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency lands rovers on Asteroid

Image
Anyone remember that old Bruce Willis movie called Deep Impact? It's the one where there was an asteroid hurtling towards Earth and the only way to save the planet was to drill into the asteroid and detonate nuclear warheads? The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency has accomplished something very similar, although the scenario here isn’t a doomsday scenario. The Japanese space agency has managed to land two surface hopping rovers on the surface of asteroid Ryugu. The rovers were launched from the main spacecraft of the Hayabusa2, which lowered itself down to 55 feet from the asteroid surface. The two rovers, Rover 1a and Rover 1b were then deployed and the agency reported success once the rovers had sent back images from the surface of Ryugu, confirming their 100 percent operational status. After the rovers were confirmed operational, the spacecraft lifted itself back up to 20 kilometers from the asteroid surface. The Hayabusa2 is supposed to launch two more rovers on the surf...

Compared to Android flagship devices which are regularly seen crossing the 3000mAh mark, Apple’s battery sizes have traditionally remained smaller and when it comes to mocking the Cupertino-based tech company on its flaws, Huawei has never been one to hold back. To troll Apple for the not-so-impressive battery sizes on the new iPhones, Huawei recently distributed 200 power banks to people queued up in front of the Apple store on Orchard Road in Singapore. As usual, Apple fans were waiting in line overnight to get their hands on the latest flagship phones from the company. Huawei seized the opportunity to mock Apple and on the cover of the power banks they distributed, the company wrote - “Here's a power bank, You'll need it. Courtesy of Huawei". As exp...
