OnePlus 6T official poster leaks with new tagline, Waterdrop notch

Image
An alleged “official poster” of the upcoming OnePlus smartphone, the OnePlus 6T, has been leaked by SlashLeaks and it suggests that the company may launch the smartphone with a new tagline. The image shows a smartphone with “Unlock The Speed” tagline, though, on the phone’s display, which is placed just below the new tagline in the poster, “Never Settle” can also be seen. The phone in the poster is also shown sporting a “Waterdrop” notch that we have already seen in previous leaks of the device.  This development comes after a number of leaks have already claimed to have revealed the specs of the OnePlus 6T. The date of the smartphone's launch is not known yet but it is expected to be launched in October or November this year. The smartphone is confirmed to launch without the beloved headphones jack this time. It will reportedly feature a  6.4-inch AMOLED screen with 2340x1080p resolution and is said to have a 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is also rumoured to g

Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VI review: A little camera with huge talent

Image
The affordable point-and-shoot compact camera has become all but obsolete, a casualty of the fact that almost everyone has a great smartphone camera in their pocket these days. Instead, manufacturers have begun focusing on producing specialist compacts that deliver something above what you'd find in a phone snapper. In the case of the Sony RX100 VI – and for for the first time in the product's series – the lens extends to a 200mm equivalent, to combate the smartphone lure. This tiny camera – the sixth iteration of Sony's high-end compact in six years – sports a large 1-inch sensor, plus the ability to shoot 4K video with HDR, ultra high-speed bursts or high frame rate videos for silky slow motion playback. All that comes at a premium: this is one of the most expensive compact cameras on the market. The question is: has Sony delivered a killer product worth the asking price, or a wallet-draining white elephant? Design Screen: 3-inch 921k-dot LCD touchscreen Viewfi

iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone Xr to get live depth effect control with iOS 121 update: Report

Image
With the new 2018 iPhones, Apple introduced a “new” camera feature that enables adjusting the depth of field after an image is captured. To access the feature, one will need to tap the Edit option and fine tune the bokeh effect using a slider. As per Macerkopf, via 9to5Mac, the option to pre-select the intensity of background blur while taking an image is being implemented with the iOS 12.1 beta update. One will reportedly see the slider on the bottom of the screen to tweak the depth setting and the changes will be reflected in real time. The option is similar to what apps like Snapseed and others offer. It is said to roll out for all users as part of an iOS 12 update later this year.  Speaking of the new iPhones, the new iPhone Xs, and the iPhone Xs Max are now up for pre-orders in India. The slightly cheaper iPhone Xr will come later in the country. The iPhone Xs Max and the iPhone Xs are quite similar, except for their screen sizes. The 64GB, 256GB and the 512GB of the iPhone Xs co

Twitter fixes bug in Account Activity API that delivered messages and tweets to wrong developers

Image
Twitter has announced that it has fixed a bug in its Account Activity API that could have delivered users’ data to the wrong registered developer. This API allows registered developers to build tools to better support businesses and their communications with customers on the platform. "If you interacted with an account or business on Twitter that relied on a developer using the AAAPI to provide their services, the bug may have caused some of these interactions to be unintentionally sent to another registered developer. In some cases this may have included certain Direct Messages or protected Tweets, for example a Direct Message with an airline that had authorized an AAAPI developer. Similarly, if your business authorized a developer using the AAAPI to access your account, the bug may have impacted your activity data in error," Twitter said in a blog post. The microblogging platform says that as part of its ongoing investigation, it has already sent an email to all developers

Image
UKTV has finally launched its catch-up and on demand application for Samsung TVs . UKTV Play is now available for smart, connected Samsung televisions sold from 2015 on. It's actually surprising that the app hasn't been available for those TVs before. Many other brands and set-top-box makes have given access for a long time. UKTV Play is the catch-up and on demand service for some of UKTV's channels. You can watch box sets and even previews of new shows before they hit the big screen from Dave, Drama, Really and Yesterday. The app and service is a free download, so you should check your respective app hub on your TV to find it. The following 2015 Samsung TVs sadly do not work with UKTV Play: UBD-K8500, UBD-KM85C, UBD-KM85, UJ4300, UJ5300. If you can't get the app yourself, you can always add a streaming device, such as a Fire TV Stick. You can find out what we think about the current options in our in-depth round-up of streaming devices here:  Which is the best

Fornite Battle Royale Season 6 update coming on September 27

Image
Fortnite Battle Royale is set to get its next big update in the form of Season 6. The new update will be available to all players from September 27 onwards. The developers of the game, Epic Games, have been teasing what the new update will bring in terms of gameplay. The most prominent of these teasers has been ‘Kevin the Cube’ which randomly appeared in the map game. The giant purple cube initially appeared to move randomly around the map, as if following a path, all the while burning runes in the ground. Players standing near the cube noticed runes hovering above them, and they started to glow. Those who managed to jump on the cube would be bounced way up into the air, while those who struck it where struck back. ‘Kevin’ finally made its way to Loot Lake where it melted and turned the entire lake purple and bouncy. How does this play into Fortnite Season 6? We’ll have to wait till September 27 to find out for sure. However, Epic Games has announced that there is one gameplay change
