Twitter a couple years ago randomly decided to mess up how it shows tweets from people you follow in the timeline. It took the reverse-chronological feed and applied an algorithm meant to surface tweets it thinks you'd care about most. The goal was to drive user engagement. But it meant you would see things like "tweets you may have missed" at the top of your timeline. At any point, you could pull-to-refresh to get an up-to-the-second experience, but many people hated seeing old tweets every time they opened Twitter. When is Android Pie coming to my phone?

The annual cycle of Android rolls on, with the latest version of the Google mobile software being called Android 9 Pie. Android P was first revealed at Google I/O 2018 on 8 May 2018, and like previous versions, launched as a public beta shortly after. But now, as of 6 August, Android Pie has officially released. As for when all other handsets will get the official Android 9 Pie release, Google said it'll come to devices that participated in Google's beta program sometime around autumn 2018 - and that process is already starting.
