An agreement on first transfer of technology for lithium-ion batteries was signed here on Sunday between the government-run Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI) and RAASI Solar Power Pvt Ltd, an official statement said on Sunday. According to the Science and Technology Ministry statement, this memorandum of understanding is the first of its kind for the country. The indigenous technology of lithium-ion cells has been developed by a group of scientists at the Council for Scientific Industrial Research (CSIR)'s CECRI in Tamil Nadu's Karaikudi in partnership with CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute, Kolkata and CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, it said. Microsoft has said it is working on a new Cloud gaming service as it showcased its commitment to invest in gaming and announced studio acquisitions, tons of new games. The announcement was made by Microsoft ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018, the world's leading video game show, that is scheduled to held at the Los Angeles Convention Centre from June 12-14. According to Phil Spencer, Microsoft's Gaming Chief, the company is working hard at building a streaming game service for any device.  "Our cloud engineers are building a game streaming network to unlock console gaming on any device and the service will work across Xbox, PCs or phones," Spencer was quoted as saying by The Verge late on Sunday. Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo , has confirmed that the innovative and ambitious Find series phones are making a comeback. The company will unveil the Oppo Find X at a launch event at the Louvre in Paris on 19 June.  In the past, Oppo Find series phones have seen the manufacturer implement some advanced technologies that seem ahead of their time, and the same looks to be true for the Find X.  One technology being incorporated is the 5x Dual Camera Zoom that Oppo showed off at MWC in 2017 . This is unusual in that it works like a submarine periscope, with light reflected onto an angled prism which then directs the image to the camera placed at a 90 degree angle. Ahead of the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 on June 12 in China, company Co-Founder and President Lin Bin has shared a poster of the device revealing its frontal design. It is speculated that the company might also launch several other Redmi 6 series of devices at the event, including the rumoured Redmi 6A and the Redmi 6 Plus or Pro. The company confirmed the launch of Redmi 6 via a post on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. However, it is still not clear whether the company will unveil the other speculated phones. Earlier, several reports had claimed that the devices, which could be the Redmi 6 Plus or Pro, will come with a notch. Apple is expected to soon unveil its 2018 lineup of iPhones and if rumours are to be believed, we might get to see four new iPhones this year. Ahead of the launch, Forbes claims to have obtained schematics of two of the upcoming iPhones from this year's lineup, one called the "budget iPhone X" and another one the "bigger iPhone X Plus". Information on the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL is leaking like a broken tap in an already flooded bathroom. Some two days ago, images of Pixel 3 XL prototype leaked online, revealing a wide notch and a thick chin on its display. Shortly thereafter, more images leaked and exposed its all-glass back. Now, the sharp-witted folks at XDA Developers have found some evidence that suggests the return of the Active Edge feature from the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL. Apple is reported to have asked its supply chain to manufacture nearly 20 percent fewer components for 2018 edition of iPhones as compared to last year’s devices. A report in Japan-based publication Nikkei Asian Review has claimed that the decision was taken to avoid smartphone shipment delays that were caused last year due to the unsatisfactory quality of the parts available for the 3D depth sensing feature. Citing industry sources, the report said, “Apple is quite conservative in terms of placing new orders for upcoming iPhones this year. For the three new models specifically, the total planned capacity could be up to 20 per cent fewer than last year's orders." The company placed orders to prepare for production of up to 100 million units of the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X devices, but this year Apple currently expects total shipments of only 80 million units for new models, two people said. After a very long time I am excited for the future of Microsoft’s gaming console. Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox took the stage at E3 to showcase games, games and more games. Microsoft announced 50 games, 18 of which were exclusives, some third-party games that were shown off for the first time and some DLC’s.  Spencer hinted at a game streaming service along with the next gen Xbox but those were just mentions. One of the biggest news was the studio acquisitions. Lenovo might soon launch an Android One powered smartphone named Motorola One Power. Its specs have leaked yet again, giving an idea of what to expect from the device. The new report comes from Techienize and alongside the spec sheet, there is also an image of the upcoming handset. Going by the image, the Motorola One Power could sport a thin-bezel display with a notch on top and feature a dual rear camera setup. The design of the smartphone somewhat resembles the recently launched Lenovo Z5, however, the notch on the Motorola One Power is considerably wider in comparison.  The spec sheet tips that the smartphone could feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with an 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution.
